Ali Broaddus
Ali is an associate attorney. Ali specializes in probate, estate planning, civil litigation, family law and family-based immigration. She moved to Alaska to join our team in 2024. Ali is very adventurous. In her free time, she enjoys fly fishing in the many rivers of Alaska with her husband.

Mariana Rivera Escobar
Mariana is a paralegal who specializes in family-based immigration, asylum and withholding of removal, as well as other various areas of immigration law. She has experience working directly with United States Immigration and Citizenship Services (USCIS), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), The U.S. Department of State and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). She completed her bachelor’s degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage in the Spring of 2024.
Mariana was born and raised in Pereira, Colombia and moved to the United States in 2016 where she learned English as her second language.

Karen Torres Nieves
Bilingual in Spanish and English, Karen has been with M&H (and AILC/USILC) since 2023, serving as both our office manager and paralegal. She is dedicated to ensuring every client at our firm receives the support and resources they need throughout their case.
Karen is a graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage and proudly served for six years as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Air Force Reserve. Originally from Colombia, she enjoys reading, scuba diving, dancing, and—most recently—being back in school.

Nicole Antoine
With 30 years of experience as an immigration officer in California and Alaska, Nicole brings a wealth of expertise for our clients with advanced immigration issues. She serves as our business development contractor and senior immigration consultant.
Nicole worked for Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS) under the Department of Justice, and then for U.S. Immigration and Citizenship Services under the Department of Homeland Security.
Nicole was born and raised in Panama.

Rayna Zaugg
Rayna is a paralegal who has been onboard with M&H since 2021. She completed the Post-Baccalaureate Paralegal Studies Program at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Rayna primarily works in probate and employment-based immigration. She has extensive experience working with government agencies such as the Department of Labor (DOL), Department of State (DOS), and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), as well as the Alaska Court System.
Outside the office, she enjoys reading, exploring new hobbies, and spending quality time with her family.

Nicole Huff
Nicole was born and raised in Colón, Panama, and moved to the United States in 2015. She attended Northern Arizona University and received her bachelor’s degree in spring 2024. Nicole joined AILC (and M&H) in 2024 as an administrative assistant and client liaison and is now a legal assistant. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Naiby Hassanieh
My name is Naiby Hassanieh, born in Venezuela to immigrant grandparents from Syria. In 2021, I immigrated to the United States, a country for which I am deeply grateful, as it opened its doors to me and gave me security, this experience transformed my life, strengthened my resilience, and deepened my appreciation for cultural diversity. Spanish is my native language; in addition, I am learning Arabic and continue improving my English.
I grew up and completed my education in accounting in Maracaibo, Venezuela. Since mid-2025, I have been part of the Alaska Immigration Law Center / McQuillan & Hohman Law team as an Administrative Assistant.
I really enjoy spending time with my family and cozy movie afternoons in pajamas with snacks.

Elvis Rivera Escobar
Having practiced immigration for over a year, Elvis focuses his work on emotional and moral support, K-9 Visas, and general WOOF based issues.
A man of few words, Elvis’ presence can always be felt and his warm support is a comfort to many clients. If you would like to schedule a time with Elvis just swing by the office, as he has an open door policy.
When not in the office, Elvis can generally be found lounging on small cushions or going for long walks. He is a born and raised Alaskan who loves the outdoors, and snacks.
